Do you offer video or phone sessions?
I am currently only doing sessions virtually or by phone.
What are your office hours?
Office hours are:
- Monday – Thursday, 10:00 am – 8:00 pm
- Friday, 11:30 am – 5:00 pm
However, you can call or email me anytime, and I will get back to you when I can.
How long is a typical session?
Sessions are 45 minutes.
What do I do to get started?

What is the hourly fee?
My hourly fee is $150-$200 on a sliding scale.
Can I cancel an appointment? Do you have a cancellation policy?
You can cancel anytime, but you are responsible for the entire fee if cancellation is less than 24 hours.
What is a free initial phone consultation?
The free consultation allows us to see if we are a good match. I will ask you some questions to find out what brings you to therapy and answer any questions you may have. I will also explain how sessions work.
Who is your perfect client?
The perfect client pushes themselves in therapy and puts in the effort. Working through your struggles is hard, and nothing motivates me more than seeing a client trying to improve themselves.
What can I expect in the first session?
I will ask questions to get to know you better. For example, I might ask you about your relationships, history, and why you want to seek therapy.
How long will I be in therapy?
Everyone takes different amounts of time to see results, but after getting to know you, I can give an estimate of when you will see progress.
Do I have to tell you everything?
You can tell me whatever you want, but the things you resist sharing are usually the most important and beneficial to discuss.
Who benefits from therapy?
Everyone benefits. Like everyone needs to see a doctor for their physical health, we need a doctor for our mental health.
Do you prescribe medications?
No, a psychiatrist does this, and I can refer you to one if you can benefit from medication.
Are you licensed?
Yes, I am licensed to work in New York state.
Should I wear waterproof mascara?
Probably.
